HP takes MagCloud international
TORONTO—Following a two-year trial period in the U.S., Hewlett Packard is taking its print-on-demand magazine business MagCloud worldwide.

The service, which has worked with Life and Atlantic Monthly will now offer worldwide shipping as well as a iPad application for readers to download digital copies or order printed ones, according to a story in Reuters.

"Volumes are becoming significant and that's why we're ramping it (the service) up out of beta," said Hewlett Packard director of new business initiatives Andrew Bolwell to Reuters. "We really feel there's a multi-billion opportunity."

Hewlett Packard will use its network of Indigo printing-press customers in the U.S. and Europe to print and deliver for MagCloud, according to the article. The standard price for printing is 20 cents per page and $1.40 for delivery in the U.S.
