Hemlock uses Canada’s first 100% electric trucks
BURNABY, B.C.—Hemlock Printers has announced its participation as a customer of Novex Couriers 100% electric powered delivery service. The trucks, manufactured by Smith Electric are the first of their kind in Canada and will be used by Hemlock for daily freight and courier deliveries.

The printer’s use of lower emission couriers is a part of its commitment to reducing operational greenhouse gas emissions 33% by 2020. By shifting a portion of its local deliveries to electrically powered trucks, Hemlock is able to achieve real emission reductions.

Each electric truck used by Hemlock will save approximately 29 tonnes of greenhouse gas emissions yearly and eliminate smog-forming exhausts, equivalent to taking six cars off the road.
