Trade Watch: Printing exports pick up slightly in August
OTTAWA—According to Statistics Canada, while trade figures continue to decline, August did bring some relief to the printing industry. Exports outpaced the figures for the previous two months and returned to levels last seen in May. Exports to the U.S. climbed to $66 million from $62 million in July. The same can't be said for imports, which fell to their lowest level of the year. Imports from China slipped to $17.7 million from $22.1 million in July and $18.6 million in August of last year.
